Most housing boards sign off performance data with confidence. That confidence is often held together by one person, a spreadsheet, and a manual workaround nobody has documented.
I go underneath the reporting and show you what is actually there!
What I see consistently across the sector
→ ARC submissions that look clean but cannot survive a follow-up question
→ Boards approving data that nobody has independently verified
→ Performance frameworks that measure activity, not outcomes
→ Digital transformation built on data foundations that were never fixed
These are not unusual problems. Most housing associations will recognise at least two or three. The issue is not that they exist — it is that they are invisible until they are not.
Who I am
I am a Fractional Data Strategist working exclusively in UK social housing. I sit at the intersection of regulatory compliance, performance reporting, and data foundations — helping boards and executives understand what their data is really telling them, and what it is not.
My work is grounded in real operational experience. With hands-on experience as a Performance Analyst inside a Scottish housing association, I rebuilt organisational reporting in Power BI, reduced manual reporting work by 70%, and led regulatory data validation exercises to ensure compliance with social housing standards.
I also sit on the Board of a Scottish housing association — so I understand the pressure of signing off data from both sides of the table.
How I work:
I offer fractional, senior-level engagements — the kind of independent, executive-level insight that most housing associations need but cannot justify as a full-time hire.
Every engagement is fixed scope, clearly defined, and delivered with a board-ready output. No ongoing retainer required unless you want one.
Current focus: ARC Data Assurance Review
An independent verification of your ARC indicators — benchmarked against SHR Technical Guidance, delivered as a board-ready assurance statement within four weeks.
This service exists because most ARC submissions are prepared internally, under time pressure, by a small team. The figures may be broadly right — but the evidence trail behind them is often thinner than it looks.
Your Governing Body is required to sign off that data. This review gives them something to actually sign off on.
Fixed fee engagements starting from £2,500. Scope agreed upfront. Delivered within 4 weeks. No ongoing commitment required.

Let’s talk
If you are a housing leader who wants to know what is really underneath your reporting — I would like to hear from you.
A short scoping call is all it takes to understand where your highest-risk indicators are and whether an independent review makes sense for your organisation.
